I’m stealing some time tonight as the children sleep and Nicholas is taking our blender back to Walmart for the 2nd time. =(
He bought me a GREAT blender for Mother’s Day this year. It really makes AWESOME smoothies and blends the ice perfectly. It also has several functions to crush/chip the ice in different ways and has a ‘salsa’ button.

Sadly, our first week of ownership the glass chipped. Being that it is a GE brand made for Walmart we were able to take it back without the receipt and get a replacement without a hassle.

Last night we enjoyed, what I like to call, “Nick’s Chocolate Covered Strawberry Smoothie” and properly cleaned and put away our beloved blender. Tonight while Nicholas carried the babies to their beds I filled the blender with orange sorbet, strawberries, vanilla ice cream and almond milk….YUM!

When I tried to power on the unit I got nothing! No power! No light! No beeping! NO SMOOTHIE!!

Nick gave it a good once over and decided to take it back to Walmart. 3rd times a charm!

Anyway!

The kids and I really enjoyed our day today! We spent the majority of our day at our homeschool friend’s house and Grace could have stayed even longer! She really is into the whole girly-girl thing and loves having a new friend who will sit with her and play dolls and make-up! With any luck we will make our way back there before the month is up to hang out with the whole family!

When we came home we sat down and read Way Down Deep in the Deep Blue Sea (Jan Peck) and we started to make jelly-fish! Our project could have been completed before dinner but we went off on one of our ‘rabbit holes’: pretending to be Sea Creatures!

Grace was an Octopus and Trey was a Super Fish (not a shark! ‘Me no like sharks mama! Dey mean!’) We ended our make believe with a profound rendition of Laurie Berkner’s “Let’s go Swimming!”

Well as I type I see my sweet hubby pull up in the drive carrying a BLENDER! Have a great evening!

Lots of little fish were sleeping on a rock
In the bottom of the ocean
They lifted up their heads
And they shook out their tails
And they said let’s go swimming

Let’s go swimming lets go swimming
Yeah let’s go swimming
Let’s go swimming let’s go swimming In the bottom of the ocean
Then the little fish got so very very tired
That they came back to the rock
And they put own their heads
And they put down their tails
And they took a little nap

And when they woke up
They decided to take a shower

So whey washed their hair
And they washed their ears
And they washed their tummies
And they washed their beards
And they washed their nose
And they washed their toes
And then they said

“Wait a minute, we’re fish!
We don’t take showers!”

Let’s go swimming let’s go swimming…
Then the little fish got so very very tired…

And when woke up
They decided to brush their teeth

So they got out their tooth brush
And their toothpaste
And they squeezed a little on
They tried not to waste
And they put it in their mouth
They brushed north and south
Ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-ch
And then they said,

“Wait a minute, we’re fish!
We don’t brush our teeth!:

Let’s go swimming lets go swimming…
Then the little shigh got so very very tired…

And when they woke up
They decided to ride their bicycles

So they rode to the left
And they rode to the right
And they rode all day
And they rode all night
They rode down the hill
And then faster still
And then they said,

“Wait a minute, we’re fish!
We don’t ride bicycles!”

Let’s go swimming…
Let’s go swimming…
